Welcome to the Athletic Football Podcast, a new title.

Basically, it is the podcast formerly known as the Ornstein and Chapman podcast,

although I was just fed up a say my name all the time,

as was David, who will still be a regular on the pod,

he's on holiday somewhere at the moment, and every week I'll be joined by a selection of writers

from the athletic to bring you unrivaled access and insight into the biggest

stories in football. So with us today, Adam Crafton, Sam Lee, who covers City for us and Don Firefield,

our senior writer with a focus on London. So after the longest of seasons followed by the euros and we're still 10 days

or so from the start of the Premier League from the players, managers, club

editors, subscribers you're all speaking to.

It's just about transfers, transfers, transfers, transfers, transfers,

isn't it, Sam?

In fact, I noticed this morning you were ready to delete Twitter again,

so it must be transfer season.

Yeah, it's not actually been too bad today but it certainly is, yeah.

So it's one of those days you just think I can't be doing with all these notifications coming

through, let's just get rid of it for 24 hours or longer. Do you hate it, Dom or do you enjoy it?

I quite enjoy it, but then I only get hassled by Crystal Palace supporters asking which player

we're signing next.

Not really the same thing for me as it is for Sam.

Although, yeah, but that's actually, that's actually quite exciting this summer, isn't it?
