Summary

Vivian puts together a mixed CD with some of her favorite K-Pop songs from the 90’s and 2000’s. Each song is connected to a different moment in her life and they all happen to be some of K-pop’s greatest hits. And together, these songs tell the early history of the genre’s evolution and growth, as well as their migration to the Korean diaspora in Los Angeles.

1:18.7	Going to the Korean video store is such a key memory for us.
1:22.7	Because back in the 90s, it was one of the few ways we could access Korean music or entertainment.
1:27.7	Right? It was either borrow VHS tapes from the Korean video store that had Korean TV programs on it or by CDs from the Korean music store.
1:36.7	When we were growing up, like Kpop wasn't easily accessible.
1:40.7	You know, you hear it on the radio.
