Hello and welcome to another episode of Just Melissa.

And today we're going inside the second week of the Brian Walsh trial.

It began like so many cases do with a simple question. Where is Anna Walsh? The vibrant 39-year-old

mother of three who vanished on New Year's Day, 2003. No phone calls, no texts, no sightings.

She was just gone. But as the investigation deepened, a different question emerged. Darker, heavier. What really happened inside the Walsh home that night?

Now inside a packed Norfolk County courtroom, prosecutors and the defense are painting two

very different versions of Anna's final hours.

One theory, deliberate calculated violence.

The other, a sudden, inexplicable tragedy, followed by a catastrophic, panicked cover-up.

This is week two of the Commonwealth versus Brian Walsh. For the first time, jurors heard what Brian

Welsh claims happen the night that Anna disappeared,

not through Brian himself, but through his attorney Larry Tipton.

Standing before the jury, Attorney Tipton lowers his voice, saying, Brian nudged her, tried to wake her,

and she fell lifeless.

A murmur rippled through the courtroom.

Tipton then continued.

He panicked.

He believed no one would believe that Anna, vibrant, healthy, alive, was suddenly dead on the floor. So he did what panicked people do. He made

terrible mistakes. So to the defense, this was not murder. This was a sudden, tragic death,

followed by fear and terrible decisions. There was no weapon, no motive, and no proof that Anna did not die naturally.

But almost immediately, prosecutors push back. And they push back hard. Assistant District Attorney Greg Connor
