Summary

(Mark 8:22-26) Today we learn about the only miracle Christ performed gradually. We will be reminded that when we are “in the process,” and we don’t know exactly what God is doing, and things are not clear, we can take heart! The Lord knows what He’s doing, and it will be beautiful in His time! Have patience and just let Him work. (06044220221)  Join Scott Pauley's study through Scripture this year. Our hope is that the message in these

Everything that our Lord Jesus did and everything our Lord Jesus does is unique.

He truly is the unique Christ, and he deals uniquely with each individual.

We've learned already in Mark Chapter 8 that the Lord meets a variety of needs. We return today to Mark chapter 8 to a story that is recorded only by this particular

1:01.6

gospel writer. It is the healing of a blind man in the city of Besseda. It's very unique. It's found in only

1:09.4

one place, and it is unique for this reason. It's the only

1:12.8

miracle that is completed gradually. And almost every other instant when some particular thing

1:20.9

is accomplished, the Lord does it immediately, completely in a moment of time. This miracle is done in steps or in stages. And I think

1:30.6

there's a great spiritual lesson in this for us today. Listen to the record in Mark chapter 8 beginning

in verse 22. The Bible says of Jesus, and he cometh to Bessayeda and they bring a blind man

under him and besought him to touch him.

1:47.9

And he took the blind man by the hand and let him out of the town,

1:50.3

and when he'd spit on his eyes and put his hands upon him,

1:52.3

he asked him if he saw aught.

1:56.1

And he looked up and said, I see men as trees walking.

2:00.1

After that, he put his hands again upon his eyes and made him look up and he was restored and saw

every man clearly. And he sent him away to his house, saying neither go into the town nor tell

it to any in the town. Now there are some similarities between this particular miracle and our

Lord's healing of a deaf man in another place. But this is the instance and the only
