Late this afternoon, Monday, March 9th, federal judge Valerie E. Caproni, about as tough as they come.

She began reading the verdict sheet in the Alexander Brothers case, and she looked toward the jury four person, according to her reporter inside the downtown federal courthouse of Manhattan.

Judge Caproni saying,

uh, asking the question, sexual abuse of a minor four person, guilty. The judge continued

through the verdict form count after count, 10 counts altogether. The same answer each and every

time. Guilty. Then came the final line from Judge

Valerie Caproni. You have convicted all defendants on all counts and just like that. Three once very

powerful brothers, men who moved in the world of celebrities, billionaires, luxury,

real estate. They were convicted in federal court in the Southern District of New York

of running what prosecutors had argued and described as a long-running scheme of sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.

Before dismissing the jury, Judge Caproni added one final instruction, and I quote here,

to the jury, your names are not public.

I recommend you not talk to the press.

I don't know how I feel about that.

And with that, one of the most explosive sex trafficking trials involving wealth and power

and recent memory came to an end.

An end, at least for now, there are sentencing, and undoubtedly, there will be appeal.
