Hey nerds, quick bit of enormous news. I am so excited to say that I have a new book coming out in

June of this year, and not only is it just a new book, but it is a fully illustrated retelling

of The Odyssey. It's aimed at children 9 to 12, but don't let that fool you. It's a shortened

retelling, but I kept it true to the original in every way that matters.

It's me, Michaela Panguish, Hermes, no longer in semester,

but still writing her thesis because life, and also prepping so many episodes and extras for

when I'm away next month. Well, I'm hosting this month's right, regardless for the couple of reasons.

Because Liv and I already agreed upon that, because it's my birthday month, because I wanted to get some more Hellenistic things out there, all the reasons, but hey, it'll be fun to talk more Hellenistic and history things.

It's been a while since we've talked Hellenistic stuff, so I will start with an overview of what we already discussed back in December.

Gods, that was a while ago.

So sorry for such a long delay.

But honestly, Herodotus is a lot easier for me to do in the moment.

And I was so busy with school and I'm still very busy with school things and feeling a bit

defeated, by it all.

But you know what?

I can do it.

Of course I can. Because there's no other option. Sometimes you just need to tell yourself something like that, and that you can do hard things, like fight a war with all your buddies for who will inherit the empire over your other dead buddy. I want to, but I also really want to do it justice for you all, so I don't want to skip any corners, especially as this is such an important time of transition for the ancient med.
