Summary

We're talking junk food relationships. Relationships that are easy to get, but end up hurting you more than helping you. Q: Why do I always end up in relationships that are convenient but not good for me? That's essentially the question from today's caller on the hotline. She finds herself in relationships with guys who live nearby, but aren't good for her. She's wanting to break the cycle of convenience and pursue something different. Just because a relationship is convenient, doesn't mean it's healthy. We talk about the concept of "junk food relationships" - and how some things are convenient and easy, but not necessarily healthy. We help get to the roots of some of the real reasons she's going to these type of relationships, and how to do something different. It's such a great conversation, and you might just be able to see a little of yourself in her story and situation. And so I'm trying to figure out why I do this repeatedly.
