Yes, that means a weekend session and it could mess up everyone's July 4th weekend plans.

Republicans got late afternoon news yesterday that their plan would leave 22 million more people

uninsured. This has put Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in a bind. Our colleagues, Jen

Habercorn and Burgess Everett report that the whipping is not going well. Susan Collins,

Rand Paul, Dean Heller, and Ron Johnson all could oppose a motion to get

onto the bill today or tomorrow. To reiterate, we're not even talking about passing a bill. We're

talking about just proceeding to debate and consider the legislation. This thing is nowhere

close to done, but as John Bresdenhan always tells us, do not count out Mitch McConnell.

Sungman Kim reports that Mike Pence is hosting a dinner tonight to whip the bill.

Late last night, the White House said it had evidence that Syria was planning another chemical

attack and said if they go forward, they will pay a, quote, heavy price.
