Dr. Bernard Haish, you've written a book dubbed the God Theory where you explore the interconnections, the potential interconnection and relationship between faith and science. We're curious, could you please give our listeners an idea of how

it is that you came to address this question in your professional life?

Well, the idea behind this is that there's an intelligence behind the universe, behind the origin of the universe.

And this, by the way, has got nothing to do with intelligent design.

I'm not talking about anything having to do with evolution.

In fact, in my perspective, evolution fits right in beautifully

because I think it's something that the intelligence uses to try to evolve life forms.

But we'll get into that.

The reason that I'm so enthusiastic about this view of things is because there have been a number of discoveries in astrophysics over the last 20 years or so, all of which point to the fact that the universe is a pretty remarkable place.

Many of the laws and constants of nature have values that are, when you put them all together, make a universe

that's just right for the origin and evolution of life.

And we can talk about those.

There are nine specific ones.

There may be more, but at least there are nine that I'm aware of that make a very strong

case, that the universe is fine-tuned.

And that is not really in dispute anymore.

You can find lots of mainstream astrophysicists

who have written books or articles or talk about the idea that the universe is finely tuned.

Now, of course, their explanation for it's going to be very different than mine.
