I have begun to look at Independence Day a little bit differently to be sure.

I want to remember that aspirational clause, that aspirational paragraph, we hold these truths to be self-evident. clause that with certain unalienable rights that among these are life at liberty and the

pursuit of happiness that is so incredibly aspirational and as we seek to

that's a clause that I hope each of us will reflect upon.

I look at it a little bit differently, That's our country's independence, but we are a country made up of people, of individuals, and it is not unreasonable that we would ask ourselves about our own sort of

So I think about those three words, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And maybe it just goes'm at the stage where two-thirds of life is is probably gone and if I'm lucky I've got a third left

But just to be thankful for this gift called life. There's a reason that Thomas Jefferson put
