Hi, friends. I am Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. Listen, we say often around here,

you don't have to be in the Gospels every day to be changed, but every day you're in the Gospels

will change you. So I'm so glad you're here with us. The Gospels are the first four books

of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus

Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month, we read all four books. So go ahead and subscribe today and join us

as we read the Gospels together. Here's how to work today. I'll read three chapters to you,

and you can listen or read along in your own Bible, and then I'll pray. And that's it.

So today is July 15th, day 15, and I'll be reading Matthew, chapters 22 through 24.

And this month, I'm reading from the CSB.

Matthew 22. Once more, Jesus spoke to them in parables.

The kingdom of heaven is like a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants

to summon those invited to the banquet, but they didn't want to come. Again, he sent out other

servants and said, tell those who are invited. See, I've prepared my dinner, my oxen,

and fat and cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.

But they paid no attention and went away, won to his own farm, another to his business.

While the rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged,

and he sent out his troops, killed those murderers, and burned down their city.

Then he told his servants, the banquet is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

Go then to where the roads exit the city and invite everyone you find to the banquet.

So those servants went out on the roads and gathered everyone they found, both evil and good.

The wedding banquet was filled with guests. When the king came in to see the guests,
