It's August 22nd, 2019 today and our guest is Lonnie Coombs.

A legal analyst and a former Los Angeles County criminal prosecutor who's covered big cases, including

the trials of Casey Anthony, Jody Arias, and George Zimmerman, among many others.

We were just discussing off-air some good news that you had about the current project that has just sort of come to fruition

Do you want to tell us a little bit about that? This is amazing news on this is a a project actually I did a couple of years ago with

Brian Banks. It was a show on oxygen called Final Appeal, where we went across the

country and covered four cases where people were in prison for murder, they had been convicted and

they were claiming that they were wrongfully convicted.

So we looked into those cases and did what we could to see first if we believed their story

and then what we could do to see if we could help them

with their case.

One of those people, Dante Sharp, actually just walked out of prison today for the first time in 25 years.

Success.

Amazing, it was just amazing.

And reading the court transcript, a big part of it was based on two witnesses
