This entire lesson that we've had today could be really frustrating to some people.

It changes everything.

Before you were ever born, Christ was there and He is not going anywhere.

Do we really believe it?

The Lord has a purpose for you individually.

God and Jesus Christ want to give us revelation.

He is always there with each one of us.

We belong to him.

And because of Jesus Christ and what he has done

from the beginning to the end, we too can rest.

I was once talking with one of my friends who's a pastor, and he was telling me that in his church,

the tradition that they have is they'll take a book of scripture, and then every Sunday they'll

preach their way through that book of scripture, doing a little bit each Sunday. So they'll

preach through the entire book of Acts or preach through the entire book of Genesis. And I asked him, how long did it

take you to preach through the book of Genesis? And he said, more than three years. And I said,

wow, in my course on the Old Testament, we're only spending eight videos on Genesis. And he's like,

only eight. That would only get us to Genesis chapter four. So the point is there's a lot to cover in a course on the Old Testament.

As we've already talked about, there are more pages in the Old Testament than all the other standard works combined.

So we can have a course just on the book of Genesis.

And the problem this poses is there's lots of interesting things that we won't be able

to talk about because I want to keep each class to a reasonable length. For example, when it

comes to the structure of the book of Genesis, we're not really going to focus on that. We're
