0:00.0	God has given us one book that can change the entire direction of our lives, the Bible.
0:14.1	And in this study, journeying through scriptures, we will take a brief big-picture look at every book of the Bible, tracing God's unfolding story from Genesis to Revelation.

0:43.3	What if I could show you one book of the Bible that is in a very real sense the Bible in miniature, a microcosm of the entire Bible.
0:46.3	Well, that's exactly what we've come to when we've come to the amazing book of Isaiah in the Old Testament.
0:53.3	There's so many parallels between the book of Isaiah
0:56.0	and the whole of Scripture. For example, in our Bible we have 66 books. Did you know
1:01.4	the book of Isaiah has 66 chapters? In our Bible, our Old Testament, the first half, has 39
1:07.7	books. And the second half, the New Testament, New Testament has 27 books well the book of
1:12.9	Isaiah breaks down into two parts the first section is 39 chapters and the second
1:18.7	section is 27 chapters our Old Testament emphasizes God's judgment on sin and the
1:26.5	New Testament emphasizes the hope that comes through Christ the Messiah.
1:31.3	Well, in the book of Isaiah, the first section deals with judgment on sin.
1:35.2	And the second section deals with hope found in the Messiah.
1:39.7	Our New Testament begins with the ministry of John the Baptist,
1:43.2	and it ends with the new heavens and the
1:45.1	new earth. Well, the second section of the book of Isaiah begins with a ministry of John the
1:50.6	Baptist prophesied and it ends with the new heavens and the new earth. We could go on and on. This is
1:56.0	a fascinating book of the Bible. I don't know if you've ever read it all the way through, but I
2:00.7	want to encourage you to do that, journey through Isaiah.
2:03.6	Isaiah's name means the salvation of Jehovah.
