From a Liverpool point of view, Darwin-Nunez was heavily involved in the scenes and the events there after it's fair to say.

players are saying and what fans on social media are saying it really looks like like the impetus for this was that at the end of

the match your guy players came over obviously right at the final whistle

highly emotional they went 45 minutes up a man, couldn't score,

you know, eliminated right at the doorstep of the final.

And they went to go get their family from the stands.
