in that because you know what like as black men and as black people that are experiences

all the same and that we, you know, we all go through exactly the same thing and that's

I wanted to kind of have an open conversation about just your experiences of growing up

and that and how you see things now and obviously I'm going to share some of that too.

Did your parents ever have a conversation with you about race?

Well, when I grew up it was just me and my mum, like I didn't really see my dad for

probably the first 15 years of my life so when I grew up I was in a predominantly white

my neighborhood and when I went out first, I remember when I first went to school I was

probably think it was only me and one of the black guy who was like a couple of years older

so a lot of the kids would ask me like, you know, why are you a different colour and stuff

like that?
