All right, I want to start with a headline we have been waiting for for more than three years.

The coronavirus national emergency that was first enacted in March 2020 is now officially over.

The US national emergency to respond to the pandemic officially ended at the beginning of this

week with President Biden officially signing a bipartisan congressional resolution to bring

it to a close. The national emergency allowed the government to take sweeping steps to respond

to the virus, support the country's economic, health, and welfare systems. The White House

issuing a one-line statement this week saying Biden has signed the measure behind closed doors.

It does come after he publicly opposed the resolution the White House actually wanted to end
