A wild weather morning.

And the big story comes out of Montebello where I'm looking at the video now.

You can see debris flying in the air as a very dark funnel cloud started forming over a

mono and then apparently tossed or ripped off the roof

of a business. And it's very bizarre looking. KFI's Blake Trolley went out there to get a

firsthand report to find out if this was a tornado or a landspout or whatever. Let's find out,

I ran into Carlos Grande out here and I said, Carlos, didn't we move out of these Midwest

markets to not cover tornadoes? Wasn't that one of the perks of coming out here? Well, anyways,

guys, an absolute mess has been left here in Montabello where a suspected at this point, a suspected tornado has ripped through the area.

Videos of this began circulating almost immediately after the wind event happened around 11 a.m.

The videos, as you mentioned there, Ken, just showing debris swirling in the air.

Unmistakantly, it looked like shredded pieces of roof.

There were other pieces of

debris in that. I saw a video of this and I go, there's no way this is actually real. I honestly

thought it was a hoax. You know, tornadoes just don't happen in Southern California. Well, it was

very real, including for this guy who says he woke up, opened his door and saw that debris swirling
