as he makes his tour around the state to talk about, I don't know,

dribble, mental health, homelessness.

But anyway, we got a good clip to play,

and then we'll talk about Mayor Bassetti

and some blowback over her Inside Safe program,

which apparently is taking some people off the streets,

putting them in hotels, but perhaps pushing other people out of those hotels who were already

homeless before.

It looked like a little shuttle game.

Yeah, musical vagrants.

I'll get to all this, but we'll start with Newsom and, of course, his new plan to deal with the oil companies

and what he calls windfall profits, he gave up with the legislature passing some sort of

windfall profits tax on the oil industry in California. And instead is creating a watchdog

division within the California Energy Commission to investigate the alleged price gouging.

Allegedly, it's like another small bureaucracy, which will collect information they say from the oil companies

and determine whether or not they're making too much money.
