John has a new album out, August 22nd, called Legacy, the Credence Clearwater Revival Years, in which he re-recorded

some of Credence's greatest hits, and yes, he calls them John's versions. Two years ago, after

decades of legal battles, John finally got the rights back to Credence's songs, and now, I guess,

understandably, he wants versions of the recordings that he owns, too. But it was all a great excuse to look back at the roots of credence and a whole lot more.
