All right, if you've got your Bibles, go to John Chapter 11.

We're taking the better part of the year.

We're looking at the Gospel of John, and it's written by one of Jesus' nearest and

dearest friends.

He was there for Jesus life in ministry so he's an eyewitness account incredibly

trustworthy with his record and reporting and were just on the other side of halfway through the book and the first half of the book covers about three years of Jesus Life and Ministry.

The second roughly half of the book covers about a week or so of Jesus' life and ministry.

And John is a great storyteller and if this was a film, this would be where the camera pans in

and where the scenes slow down and the dialogue is more focused and

it's just honing all of our attention and energy toward the death burial

resurrection of Jesus which is the focal point of the entire story and before we pick it up today I want to remind you

of kind of what's happened in chapter 10 and 11 maybe you were with us maybe you weren't

in chapter 10 things really hit a pitched heated point where those

who were opposed to Jesus, his critics and enemies, they came to him publicly and they

demanded him to just go on record and they asked him,

tell us, are you the Christ or not?

Are you God or not?

Bottom line, right, everybody's here, we all want to know, are you God?

And Jesus declared openly, publicly, and clearly, yes, I am God.
