Joey Bosa cut last week by the charges because he was due to make 12.3 million today in a roster bonus with a $13 million salary coming later in the year.

That was more than the charges wanted to pay.

They released him.

The 49ers immediately emerged as an option. They were the

betting favorites. Unite him with his brother Nick in San Francisco. Man, that makes a lot of sense.

And then enter the Buffalo Bills. Enter the Buffalo Bills. And it's a one-year $12.6 million

deal. That tells me the 49ers didn't offer all that much.

Right. Right. If he's taken 12.6 in Buffalo, the 49ers didn't offer more than that.

Now, he might have factored in the 13% state income tax in California and wanted the bump.

He wanted to gross up. But regardless, it's not like the 49ers were willing to pay huge money.

And when they cut Leonard Floyd yesterday, I think a lot of people thought,

oh, the next move is signing Joey Bosa.

I certainly thought it.

I mean, I was one when I think we were, I was on the podcast when the news came out

originally with Joey Vosa.

And I was just like, oh, the 49ers, it just, it made sense, right? Because, yeah, he wasn't going to be able to command a lot of money.

And, of course, his brother's there and they're close.

And you thought, oh, wow, that would be cool.

Now, is it a money thing as far as Joey, Joe Boas is concerned?

And, like, the 49ers didn't get up there in that area?

Or is it that he's looked at the 49ers the last few days and gone, wait.

Like, yeah, it's cool to go play with my brother, but like on what, a team that's not very good
