Ross Dillinger, ESPN, reporting that Notre Dame and USC fell to reach an agreement to extend their rivalry.

They now will work towards extending the series starting in 2030.

Wow.

So as Clat joins us, we're about to go 27, 28, 29 with no Notre Dame USC game.

It's sad, but if I'm Lincoln Riley, I don't schedule it.

I mean, that's the national rivalry in college football.

Murmur. I'm with Lance. Why would USC do that? If the committee is going to continue to just put the top records in and not look at strength of schedule.

You know, I think we've done this to ourselves in college football. The committee has done this to themselves.

You know, Texas shouldn't have played Ohio State at 10 and 2 they're in, you know, 9 and 3, they're out.

And Notre Dame, almost same thing, you know.

If they don't schedule Texas A&M, they're probably 11 and 1 and in, you know.

And the point of this whole thing, guys, is to win a championship.

And until we fix the way that we operate and the structure of the postseason, and in particular,

how we include teams in the postseason, then this will continue. This is just, you know,

the tip of the iceberg. And candidly, it's not even the tip.

It's been happening. I mean, Tennessee and Nebraska went by the wayside. There's been a lot of

games that have been scheduled years in advance that now are coming up and people are like,

well, why would I do that? You know, that's not going to help me to my end goal. I do want to commend those that keep them on the schedule.

You know, Ohio State and Texas, Bama has kept their big games on the schedule in the non-conference.

Now, we'll see if that happens with all these teams as now everybody goes to nine conference games.
