Hey, can we talk about perfectionism for like five minutes?

Because it's something I know a lot of us struggle with in life. We want to be perfect. We aren't.

We know we can't be logically in our brains, but that frustrates us too. Just the whole cycle.

I want to talk about it for a few minutes on this day, of all ironies, that sometimes it feels like we have to

try to lay out the perfect meal and the perfect table setting and all the perfect things,

and it never quite is, right? And that's okay.

This is not a show about holiday things, but it just reminded me as I was thinking about perfect

scenarios you know how holidays can sometimes be weird simply because we have these visions in our

minds about what a holiday is going to look like and then because of one thing or another

it never quite lives up like new years we buy an awesome outfit and make these fun plans

or at least we used to.

I don't do that anymore because why.

And then we spill something on our shirt or whatever.

Or like us, about four years ago, my husband sat on our dog on accident on New Year's Eve and broke her hip.
