Tuesday, thoughts about racial reconciliation brought a lot of things up for me, not just preaching

these things or saying we care about them, but how we live them out in a way that suggests is

truly a conviction of the heart. I had my thoughts and ideas, but I wanted to hear yours, so I

asked you on social media, and as always, you brought it. I can't wait to share with you some

practical meaty suggestions you had for how to live a Christian life that goes beyond lip service. And we get into all that

right now. So what we're talking about today, how to live a Christian life that goes beyond just

talking about it, just giving lip service to it, is really important.

Because the truth is, a lot of us talk about a lot of things. We say we care about the gospel.

We say we care about racial reconciliation, like Latasha and I talked about on Tuesday,

about reaching the lost, about life in general. And yet a lot of us don't do much past that. I think

there are some reasons for this. Some are more noble on the scale than others. Sometimes, if we're

honest, we more say these things than we actually care. We say them because they're the right

Christian thing to say and because we don't want to come off

as cold or unfeeling, but we don't really care enough to do anything about it.

So it's pretty hollow, honestly.

In some other cases, I think we do care, but we are at a loss for exactly what to do to show

it.
