Hi, and welcome to Jesus Over Everything, a five-day-a-week variety show that mixes encouragement,

0:05.4

the Bible, practical how-toes, and fantastic guests for the listener on the go.

I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

We're coming to the close of our First Things First series, and I've loved this month.

0:18.8

Hope you have too. Today is not only an

0:20.9

1:16.6

1:21.5

Jonathan consulted God, except for that honey incident. But the point is that many heroes of

1:27.1

the faith had this mentality of,

1:29.2

I answer to God, not you. And that is what we're really talking about today. I think we get into a lot

1:35.9

of trouble when we veer from this, when we start to take on the opinions of others and make them

1:41.2

too important. Gathering information is one thing. Letting people pour into us

1:46.6

and give us input over a decision we need to make when they're wise and trusted and have a proven
