Hi, and welcome to Jesus Over Everything, a five-day-a-week variety show that mixes encouragement,

0:05.3

the Bible, practical how-toes, and fantastic guests for the listener on the go. I'm Lisa Whittle,

0:10.5

and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

It's Friday and Good Friday today, so thankful for Jesus and what Good Friday means, the sacrifice he made as we

0:22.7

look towards Sunday. Recently, I asked you what you wanted me to talk about on the Friday 5. I got some

0:28.4

awesome responses. I'll have to do some of the other shows in the future. Not really appropriate for

0:33.3

Good Friday. But today I'm giving a list of five things one of you asked me to give,

0:38.6

five women who shaped my ministry. I thought this one was really great. It's a neat one for me

1:14.2

about Johnny and her impact on me through her book, Johnny.

1:17.8

I read that book, and though it was about her accident where she was diving in some water

1:22.3

and broke her neck and became paralyzed, for me it was about much more, a strong-willed female who God used in a

1:29.9

powerful way in her life, and she learned to yield her spirit to him. It marked me to this day.

1:36.5

It gave me hope that God could use my life to, even though I was so very stubborn. I am so

1:42.0

very stubborn. I went on to read many more of Johnny's books,

1:45.1

which are full of depth and truth. If I ever got to meet Johnny in person, I would most

1:51.1

definitely weep. I really would. Number two, this next person is someone I actually did get

1:57.1

to meet Amy Grant. I won't go into the whole story, but I actually sat with her and we had

2:02.5

lunch and we talked for a very long time, just one on one. Now, she wouldn't know me from Adam,
