Hi everybody, this is Scott Sad.

Many of you are now familiar with the Joe Rogan versus Neil Young Spotify issue, whereby

Neil Young issued an ultimatum, it's either Joe Rogin or me, and then Spotify,

given the financial interest that they had in supporting Joe Rogin, decided, well, sorry to see you go Neil but again what

I'd like to discuss today is not so much the specifics of the Spotify

reaction but the idea that I am seeing everywhere,

whereby people are saying, this has something to do with freedom of speech.

This has to do with Joe Rogan spreading

misinformation that harms people and when you do that then you should be shut down.

So let me try to again explain the concept of freedom of speech.

Freedom of speech is not meant to only be used to compliment others. It's not there to be used to be nice to others. It's not there to be used to be nice to others. It's not there to be used to only

spread truths. The whole point of freedom of speech is to accept that if you're going to abide by

such a lofty epistemological tenant that you have to be able to handle falsehoods, liars, not the

famers because the famers doesn't fall under the rubric of the protection of freedom of speech.

You have to support the right of racist to say they're garbage.

Again to repeat for the one millionth time, I'm Jewish.

I support the right of Holocaust deniers spreading arguably were being massacred at a level of industrial

reality whereby people were being massacred at a level of industrial scale level that is recorded that is

clear that is documented so there's almost nothing you could think of that is more vile than Holocaust denial.

I support the right of those cretants to spread such falsehoods. Let me draw a few analogies to help the slow ones in the

back row understand what freedom of speech means. Lysenko was a idea promulgated by Lysenko who argued that the laws of genetics

heredity were wrong because they were inconsistent with Marxist ideology.
