One season, good talent, not the best talent.

Who do you pick all time?

We had this conversation with Gary Myers on the show yesterday.

He said Bill Parcells, and G from the shop agreed with him.

Parcells would not be in my top three.

My top three would go Shula 1, Gibbs 2, and Belichick 3.

I think all three of those coaches adapted to what they had, figured it out, and

designed a season around the players that they had.

They also were three incredible leaders and culture guys.

There was always a culture around them.

There was a feeling of you've entered into the world of the Miami Dolphins culture, the Washington Redskins culture, the New England Patriots

Way, et cetera. There are others that certainly I would consider, and I did. Parcells is one,

Walsh is two. My biggest thing with Walsh, as much as of an innovator as he was, and he's one of the all-time great innovators.

Joe Montana, Steve Young.

I mean, the talent that they had at quarterback, and then you look at, you know, Jerry Rice wasn't

there for the first one.

Let's keep that in mind.

When they won in 81 and they beat

the Bengals, and they came out of nowhere and they won the championship game against the Cowboys

with the catch, the Dwight Clark catch. He was not a part of those 81 49ers. But Bill Walsh

always had exceptional talent. Lombardi, obviously, exceptional talent and a

different league where you only had to win one playoff game and then you were in the NFL
