This is True Crime Garage, and this is the case of Jody Areas.

Travis Alexander and Jody Areas met in September 2006 at a PPL services conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Travis was a proud Mormon. In November of 2006, Jody Areas was baptized into the Mormon Church.

Travis and Jody began dating in February of 2007.

Jody moves to Mesa, Arizona to be near Travis. Things were not working out for the young couple. Because in April of 2008, Jody moves back to California, where she was living with her grandparents.

In May of 2008, Jody's grandparents' home is burglarized, several items were taken, including a 25 caliber automatic cult pistol.

On June 2, Jody Areas rented a car in California. On her way to Utah, for a conference, Jody drives to Arizona to be with Travis.

On June 4, Travis misses an important meeting on June 9. A concert group of friends go to Travis' home because he had not been heard from in several days.

After gaining access into the home, his friends enter the master bedroom, where they find large pools of blood and discover his lifeless body in the shower.

They immediately call 911. They tell the operator that Travis' ex-girlfriend Jody has been stalking him, accessing his voicemail, his Facebook account, and slashing his tires.
