I'm Jocelyn K. Gly, and this is Hurry Slowly, a podcast about pacing yourself,

0:10.6

where I explore how you can avoid burnout, improve your productivity, and activate your creative mind,

0:17.0

all through the simple act of slowing down. A little housekeeping before we dive into this

0:23.0

episode. First of all, this is the last episode of Season 1 of Hurry Slowly. And after I take a

0:30.7

break for the summer, I will be back with a brand new season this October. If you need a fix

0:37.2

in the meantime, please feel free to dig into the back catalog.

0:41.2

0:46.6

program that will show you how to set ambitious creative goals

1:11.7

and then pace yourself to achieve them.

1:15.1

And I'm going to be teaching it in a really fun dynamic format that's designed to be a lot more engaging

1:21.0

than your typical run-of-the-mill online course.

1:25.2

Reset will be launching in January of next year, so stay tuned for more on that.

1:31.3

Now, onto today's show. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about feedback. It's a term that comes

1:39.7

up pretty often these days, and I feel like we tend to think of it as an unadulterated good,

1:45.8

even though it has also become a sort of catch-all for many different types of commentary.

1:51.3

Feedback could be a critique, feedback could be a compliment, or feedback could be a piece of

1:56.2

advice. But we frequently don't make a distinction about what type of feedback we're offering.
