double bed that only she sleeps in these days and applies bright pink lipstick in the mirror

above the dressing table.

She bought the lipstick, especially for today, a shade called Dragon Fruit, a pink that

clicks its fingers and stands on the wrong side of the escalator making a face.

She works the lipstick above the natural line of her lips because that's what Sophia
