So the NFL preseason is thankfully over. No more fake BS football. Next top, the real thing. And we all know the final preseason game might be the most useless of all the useless preseason games.

However, the Chargers, let me start right there.

The Chargers apparently did get quite a bit out of their trip to Dallas this weekend.

It just had nothing to do with playing the Cowboys. No, the biggest battle of the weekend

of the preseason, the biggest battle of the weekend, on the preseason, the last weekend, did not play out on the actual field. It was not Chargers v Cowboys. It was Chargers v. Dallas Hotel Elevator. All right, now you want to talk about adversity.

You want to talk about team building and team bonding.

You want to talk about cutting a toughness groove in your brain.

What better way to do that than to get stuck on an elevator for two hours with 15 other people, 15, including 11 of your sweaty oversized teammates.

This is exactly what happened to a large group of the charger contingency on Friday night at the

team hotel in Dallas.

A group which apparently included 260 million dollar man Justin Herbert.

A group that had to be freed by Dallas Fire Rescue who found that the elevator got stuck in a quote blind shaft end quote somewhere

between the third and 15th floors of the hotel I mean damn I don't know that seems like a pretty big range I mean don't these elevators just go up and down how do you lose an elevator anyway I don't know I'm not an elevator repair guy apparently these dudes didn't just get stuck in an elevator. They

got stuck and lost in the elevator shaft. Eventually Dallas Fire and Rescue did

figure out where they were and did save them all but

they had to pull them out one by one they had to individually recover every

person in the elevator by pulling them through the roof of the elevator and

then transporting them to an adjacent elevator car before taking them back to safety. I mean, damn, that sounds like quite an operation.

It sounds like something out of a Mission Impossible movie. Sounds like what they really needed was

Ethan Hunt, dropping down on his cables and just yanking people out of there.

That's right. You know those suction cups going up and down the side of the building?
