Today is part four in our series on American Trapper, Guide, and Explorer, Jim Bridger.

Today we are going to cover a big chunk of the 1850s, getting all the

way up to, but not including the 1857 Utah War. I have two notes for today. One, I have put

we are talking about are located. It is not essential to this episode,

but it might help. Note number two is a weird one, and that is about pronunciation. And the

pronunciation I'm talking about is Oregon. I knew this was going to come up when I was editing

the last episode. Oregon is how you pronounce the state. At least, that's how people who are from the state pronounce it.
