| 0:00.0 | Welcome everyone to a special episode of Dysect. I'm your host, Cole Kushna, and today we are celebrating one of the most prolific months in new music and recent memory, at least in my memory, specifically from hip-hop's middle class. In August alone, we had releases from J.I.D., Chance the Rapper, Earl Sweatcher, Joey Badass, Freddy Gibbs. We also got projects from West Side Gun, Rock Marciano, DJ Premier, goes face killer. The list goes on and on. This is just one month of music. It's been very enjoyable, very overwhelming. We even got a release not too long ago from Tyler the Creator that I'm still listening to. And so I thought I'd recap what feels like a historic month in music, especially |

| 1:10.3 | Hell yeah, hell yeah. I appreciate that. Are you guys as overwhelmed with music as I am right now? |
| 1:16.3 | I feel like there's been just a ton of great releases, but I haven't had time to really enjoy |
| 1:21.5 | every single one of them. I don't know. I feel overwhelmed, but in a good way, right, Jarmory? |
| 1:27.3 | It feels like partially the most enjoyable month in recent memory for music and partially, |
| 1:34.8 | like listening to music isn't my actual job because there's days where I'm like, I have |
| 1:40.1 | not caught up on this album. |
| 1:41.8 | I haven't been able to really sit. |
| 1:43.3 | And if I do, I'll sit through it once and I'm like, I got to go back and really read the lyrics. Like, it is overwhelming to say the least, yes. How are you feeling, Green? Same. It's just too much damn music. Like, I had to, luckily, I've been on my gym thing. So I'm able to, like, just go through stuff through the process. So I gave every single project you listed in more, a listen. |
| 2:04.6 | Yeah. But. so I'm able to like just go through stuff through the process. So I gave every single project you listed in more, a listen. |
| 2:04.5 | Yeah. |
| 2:04.8 | But even like Lupe's new deluxe thing he did, it's like just so much music going on. |
| 2:11.4 | Kid Cutty too. |
| 2:13.2 | Actually, I have not listened to the Cutty. |
