U.S. and Canada, gold medal game Judds Hockey Show at Zolgan. It's Jesse Pierce, who's decked out. She looks like a wrestler, sort of. You know, you got the garb on. I like it. You look like Cody Rhodes. It's the outfit. It's like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Is he in there somewhere? I could crush a year right now. And you've been slam a drink, so that makes perfect sense. Today was the first game, you guys, that I was oddly calm. I don't know why. I have been such a stress ball this entire tournament. Today I walked into the game and I was like, no, it's going to be okay. And with that, it's Judd, it's Kirsten Kroll, A.J. Fredrickson, I'm going to try to get through this. I actually jotted this down because I don't know if I could. Get through it without that. So if you have not heard the awful news, and I know a lot of you have, our beloved colleague, Jesse Pierce, and her three kids died at home early Saturday in a house fire. Hudson was eight, Caden was six, Avery was four. I can't believe I'm

saying this. Our hearts go out to her husband, Mike, and Jesse's entire family on something that

does not and will not seem real for a long time, quite frankly speaking personally. I don't know

if it ever will. I know a lot of you out there loved her as well, and while you might not

have known her, you certainly felt like you did. And so this show is as much for you as us. We are here to grieve

with you. We are here to talk about a person who was, I don't even know if we did this all day,

if we can encapsulate her. And with that, Kirsten, of course, you worked

with her in various endeavors, including Bar-Down beauties, which was absolutely fantastic.

I was originally going to ask how you're doing, but that strikes me as a stupid question.

So how are you holding up? I'm here. I was just saying this to AJ when we logged on.

This is the first time I logged on to this computer since last week.

And typically, it's Monday.

We'd be getting ready to record our podcast in the next hour.

So just kind of like sitting here and thinking of that, it's really hard.

We're here and it's, when you invited me to be part of this today, I feel it's so important to just talk about

who she was, because she was an incredible person, and I, especially her kids too.

I don't want anyone to ever forget about that.

Like aside from just hockey, just one of the most amazing moms I ever met.

Like human, friend, she was like a big sister to me.

I always told people that.

I was like, well, she's my podcast co-host, but honestly, she's like another big sister
