Rookie camp has begun here at the Flyers Training Center for the Philadelphia Flyers,

but Jetlucenko was not on the ice today.

Oliver Bonk, however, has bulked up significantly over the summer.

So let's start with the big news from Thursday. There were 24 scheduled

attendees at rookie camp. Only 23 of them hit the ice. 24 first round pick, Jet Lucenko was not on the

ice with the rest of his teammates. So obviously, that raised major concerns, given the fact that he was

not a participant in development camp in July either.

He batted a groin injury earlier in the summer.

Obviously, we asked the flyers for an update, the update we got.

It is precautionary for Jet Luchenko.

They are holding to their belief that Luchenko will be good to go for the start of next week's main camp.

But it certainly does not look like

he's going to be a part of the rookie camp, particularly the rookie games in Allentown on Friday and

Saturday night. Now look, maybe that's the way it's going to play out. Maybe Luchenko will be good

to go at the end of next week, ready for main camp and ready to battle for a spot on the big club.

But given his absence from development camp, given the fact that it seemed like there was optimism, he next week, ready for main camp and ready to battle for a spot on the big club.

It is a bit concerning, and it's certainly something worth keeping an eye on.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if he indeed is ready to go for main camp and can

take his shot at making the Philadelphia Flyers for game one of the season.
