Today, a lot of topics I want to get to as we come on on this regular Tuesday afternoon time that we record the

podcast. We've got news in the NFL on the hirings and firings front, and it comes out of the

same place we had it weeks ago at the head coach position. Now we have it at the GM position. New York

Jets, yes, those New York Jets have fired their general

manager, Joe Douglas. I'm not surprised. I am surprised at the timing. Now with coaches, of course,

you get out maybe a few weeks before the end of the season sort of quote unquote get a jump

on the next wave of coaches

with GMs i don't think you're going to be getting a jump on anyone it just became i suppose in

woody johnson the owner's minds an untenable situation with whatever the record is i don't even know

three and eight three and nine whatever it may be that they had to move on during this bi-week for the jets. And it's over.

Now, listen, Joe Douglas, I knew a little bit from the Eagles. He was the right-hand man of Howie

Roseman at the Eagles on the personnel side, but it hasn't worked in New York. And you know me, this is no

surprise to me. I've been very critical of the way the New York Jets have been managed. And again,

this doesn't have to do with Aaron Rogers, the player. I, as you know, from over the years,
