Summary

My first solo episode of Heaven & Healing Podcast in a while! This episode is for believers and unbelievers alike. For the continued H&H listeners, I put this one together for you to send to your unsaved loved… but there is also an important message for you here, too — about what being a follower of Christ actually demands of you. So I pray this is as edifying for you, as it is hopefully inviting, to unbelievers. For the unbeliever… I explain that I understand if you have church hurt or if the doctrine of man has left a bad taste in your mouth for Christianity and address the extremely valid issue with this… With that, I talk about how a lot of churches focus on your sin ONLY, failing to expand on the LOVE that DIED for your sin… So many leave feeling condemned, rather than convicted. Condemnation comes from shame; conviction comes from love, leading to true faith and repentance. My goal with this episode, unbeliever, is not to tell you how wicked you are and that you need Jesus… My goal is to tell you that DESPITE how wicked we ALL are *without* Him, He DIED FOR YOU ANYWAY because your value to Him is so immeasurably demonstrative and His love for you so abundant that He chose you offer you eternal salvation even if you would never choose to receive it. By talking about the Lord’s love for you and the Truth of His character, it is my deepest prayer that you would come to a revelation of the Father’s love and fall to your knees in surrender to Him… or, at the least, that a seed of faith would be planted that the Holy Spirit would use to do a work in you and bear the fruit of later. 0:28.5	solo episode in a while and I'm really excited about the topic. I'm going to be tackling the
0:34.4	myth that Christianity is hateful or oppressive.
0:42.6	We're just going to kind of dive right into that.
0:48.8	But first, I do have an announcement that I would like to share with all of you. If you haven't already seen on Instagram, I am pregnant.
0:59.0	We are expecting our first baby, a baby girl,
1:05.9	at the end of January, early February, and we have decided to name her Selah. So Salah is from Psalms. It means to rest in or to exalt the Lord, both of which are very, very appropriate for both myself
1:14.1	and my husband's testimony. So we can't wait. According to the blood test, she was actually
1:22.0	conceived on our wedding night, which is just, I mean, just an absolute blessing from the Lord.
1:27.3	And we truly cannot be more
1:29.2	grateful. I feel incredibly favored to be having a baby so soon after our marriage and just so
1:37.6	soon after my salvation too. So I wanted to let you guys all know that. If you could cover baby Sela in prayer, cover myself in prayer,
1:47.0	and cover my husband Michael in prayer, we would just really appreciate that. Some of you kind of already
1:52.1	picked up on it. I guess I have like the pregnancy glow that they talk about, but I mean, I don't see that.
1:57.4	I just feel like I just always feel like I just ate like three burritos at all
2:02.0	times. So that's where I'm at this stage in the second trimester. But yeah, I just look forward to
2:08.1	the rest of this pregnancy and, of course, finally meeting her at the start of the new year.
2:16.1	So that being said, this is kind of actually really a beautiful way to segue
2:22.1	into this topic because my husband was someone who, before he was born again,
2:28.7	used to think that Christianity was just like a hateful, oppressive kind of religion. And he really wanted nothing to do with it.
2:37.5	And now, you know, we worship together, we pray together, we read the Bible together, we evangelize
2:42.9	together. Like we're all in for Jesus together. And it's just really, really beautiful to see how
