Jesus Christ's Superstar is a sung through rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, loosely based on the gospel's accounts of the passion, the work interprets the psychology of Jesus and other characters with much of the plot centered on Judas,

who is dissatisfied with the direction in which Jesus is steering his disciples.

This is an interesting time to release an episode about Jesus Christ

Superstar as director Norman Jewison passed this week at age 97.

Norman Jewison a towering giant, a favorite of ours,

directed Moonstruck, directed Fiddler on the roof,

the hurricane in the heat of the night, the Thomas Crown affair, rollerball, interesting.

We just had a really tremendous career right at that time where movies from old Hollywood

started to go out of fashion and movies from like the radical a tour largely male

directors of the 1970s started to come into the consciousness,

but really just a tremendous career and was a part of a big cultural shift.

So rest well, Norman Juhison.
