I'm your host, Conzeal Elizabeth, and I'm really, really excited for you guys to hear today's

episode. We have Jessica Kent on Jessica Kent is one of my favorite people on the internet.

I absolutely love her TikToks. I watch every single one of them. If you guys are not familiar,

she is a prison reform activist. She shares a lot of her journey with addiction, a lot of her

journey. Honestly, pretty much everything, really nothing's off the table with her, um,

her life in prison. She also had a baby in prison. She just shares so much. She ended up being

able to get her daughter back. It's really inspiring to see someone who has gone through so much,

come out of it to where she is now. I think she's an incredible mother. I really admire all the

hard work that she's taken in her life. I just really love her, especially even more after this

conversation. I think as the conversation goes on, you hear us like warming up to each other more,

and it only gets better. I would listen to the full full episode because some of my favorite

parts are at the very end. We have the best conversation even off recording after the podcast.

like where your addiction started? Oh, for sure. I even know like where I was and how

all manifested, which is uncommon because a lot of people that I talked to were like, well,

I partied a little bit and then I became addicted. But for me, I was a very socially awkward,

a very weird kid who would read books in the corner. I had no friends and I got in trouble one day

for throwing a textbook at this girl that called me some shit, I don't know, ugly or weird,
