The Beckdalecast is a podcast on the How Stuff Works Network,

hosted by comedians Jamie Loftus and Caitlin Durante.

Each week, Jamie and Caitlin are joined by a special guest to examine a popular movie and discuss its representation of women through a feminist lens.

They conclude each episode by determining if the movie passes the Bechdel test, which requires that a movie has one, two named female characters,

two who speak to each other, and three, they speak to each other about something other

other than a man. Surprise, most movies don't pass. The podcast aims to call attention to

Hollywood's long history of under and misrepresenting women, and to encourage listeners to be

more critical of the

media they consume. But with jokes, it's actually a very funny podcast. Jamie and Caitlin are
