Hi there from CNN. I'm Charlie Drever with the bad things you need to know for Monday, September 8th.

At least five people have been killed and several others are injured from a shooting attack in Jerusalem this morning.

That's according to Israel's emergency services, and CNN's Jeremy Diamond says this all unfolded at a bus stop.

It happened at the remote junction where the Israeli police says that two, quote, terrorists

arrived by vehicle at that junction and opened fire towards a bus stop.

The attackers were ultimately killed in an exchange of fire by a security officer and

an Israeli civilian who were on the scene and returned fire.

We are still waiting for additional details about the attackers, where they came from,

what their motivations were, but for now the Israeli police is characterizing this as a terrorist

attack.

The Trump administration is launching a new ICE enforcement effort in Massachusetts.

That's according to the Department of Homeland Security.
