Ola, bitch, oh la.

So long and short of it, my parents have been taking their 26-foot boat up north through the

Queen Charlotte Straits, almost to Alaska. They go for about three weeks a month, and they just

take their time and meander around and just have fun,

fish and shrimp and crab, and they want my wife and I to go with them.

Well, we can't take that kind of time off.

So just a few years ago, my dad said, all right, screw it.

I got you a float plane flight from Kirkland up to Echo Bay up in northern Canada.

You're going to meet us there, spend a week, leave on a Monday, get back on a Friday.

So we get down there, we jump on the plane.

We did a bunch of little stops, you know, drop in, drop out, and it's just my wife and I, by the time we get to where we're going to land.

I asked the pilot, Jason, and I said, hey, you mind if I, you know, get in the co-pilot seed?

He says, yeah, just don't touch anything, you know.

Yeah, right.

So we fly, we spend a week up there.

It was beautiful. Jason comes back, picks us up. We fly back on Friday. It was about three months later, there was a plane that went down off of Woodby Island. It's like an eight-seater plane, float plane. And my wife says, oh, my God, that's our pilot.

His pilot's name was Jason, super cool guy, and there was like eight people on board.

That was our pilot, and that was our plane.

Jeez, man.

I think they had like a rudder problem or someone in the back tail of the air.

I think I vaguely remember the story.
