Folks, no television series gets a more visceral reaction from me than AMC's Fear the Walking Dead.

I suppose that's because it shows how quickly our law-abiding society could spiral into chaos,

reminding us that even today, the line between civilization and anarchy is razor-thin.

And yes, the fact that it all starts to unfold right here in Los Angeles does kind of freak me out.

A lot, actually.

Now in its fourth season, the show that spun off from the original Walking Dead series is doing its first crossover series with characters from the original.

It has brand new showrunners and some exciting additions to the cast,

including Jenna Elfman, who plays a mysterious nurse caught between her need to help others and her desire to escape her past.

Today, Jenna joins me on the podcast to talk about joining the Walking Dead universe, her own strategy and a zombie apocalypse,

and how working on the show inspired her to think about preparing for the worst within her own family.

We talk about how the show is reinventing itself in season 4, her first experience with a zombie onset,

how doing her own stunts has made her a bit of a badass in the eyes of her two young sons,

and what it was like interacting with the Walking Dead's diehard fans at Comic-Con.
