As a blogger, journalist, TV reporter, interviewer, how did that all start for you?

It was a weird twisty way in. I started as an actor. I was a musical theater major in college.

Oddly enough, you don't love musicals, like being in them, but not listening to them so much.

There are exceptions, of course.

But I know that's a very strange thing when I tell people I'm not really a big musical fan.

But didn't you go to college for that?

Well, it's funny because you like to perform, you like to sing, but you know, you got to figure out what beautiful is going to work.

So I started there, and I started as an actor, and I was always somebody who was interwriting, but I did that sort of training, went to New York, did it for a while.
