I'm Taylor Rockwell, and yeah, how has everyone been?

I'm guessing probably not great.

If you miss the news from this weekend, Daryl has been dealing with a cancer diagnosis for close to two years now.

This weekend, he was told there's nothing more his doctors can do. He's now at home with his wife, Shannon, and is receiving hospice care. I can

safely say that it has been an emotional 24 hours. The outpouring of love and support for

Daryl that you all have expressed has been just genuinely very amazing and emotionally moving.

It's really easy when you sit behind a computer and talk into a microphone to forget or believe that people are actually listening.

And so to see this sort of outpouring of support to hear from so many wonderful friends, it has been a true blessing.

So again, thank you all for that.

the Total Soccer Show going forward, my aim is to

continue putting out episodes, just as we have since 2009. I'm hoping to update you all more about

that aspect of things sometime down the road, but I just wanted to take a moment to say that

the Total Soccer Show is not going anywhere. Now, that said, that doesn't mean that you all

can't go anywhere. I know it will be very hard to listen to this show without hearing Daryl's voice. If you think it will be too hard to listen, trust me, I get it. So if you want to take a break for a week or a month or a year, forever, self-care is important. I think above all else, Daryl just wants everyone to be happy. He's a man who once proudly posted about a one-star review, which claimed we were too soft and argued that it was a point of pride because the world needs more softness. So everybody do whatever they need to do to feel better about life. That I think is a fundamental takeaway. But I did want to say this. Daryl and I, when we started the show, we wanted to

prioritize asking why something happened, not yelling that it had happened. And that's

something we've always tried to stay true to. Daryl, I think sometimes better than myself,

I tend to be more emotional. And I just want to let people know that that remains like my
