Goni Carson changed my life twice.

It was just like a dream. It was just like everything I had worked for

and dreamed about has come to fruition.

They said Johnny fell over laughing.

It makes me so happy.

I made him laugh.

But with Johnny, you knew you had a kid audience and you could really go great.

My wife at the curtain all held real loose backstage.

People were running up and he said, go back out, go back out.

Johnny, you want you back.

I walked back through the curtain very calm and Johnny, I took about, and Johnny put that little circle up with the finger, and I am Mark Malkup. Our guest today is a stand-up comedian and Letterman regular Jeff Altman.

He's a brilliant comic. His Johnny impression is one of my favorites. I was really

excited to sit down with him. We got together in Los Angeles, California.

How old were you when you discovered Johnny Carson?

Well, I was a kid because growing up, everybody, you know, tried to stay up to 1130 and, you know, in in 1962 that was staying up late for me but we all

wanted to stay up late and watch Johnny.
