Good evening. It's Wednesday, May 21st. Welcome to a new episode of System Update, our live nightly show that airs every Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern exclusively here on Rumble, the free speech alternative to YouTube. Tonight, there are multiple stories we want to cover in more rapid fire style than we normally do, beginning with comments that Vice President J.D. Vance made today

0:38.0

in an interview with the New York Times, Ross do that. When asked about rulings that courts

0:43.1

have been issuing against the Trump administration, placing limits on the administration's actions

0:48.2

regarding immigration, Vance accused courts of seeking to impede what a majority of Americans said during the election

0:55.4

that they favored, suggesting that impeding the will of the majority for a court is inherently

1:00.2

illegitimate. But regardless of what one thinks of the specific immigration rulings that have

1:05.6

been happening recently, the reality is that the founders, who most feared majoritarian mobs and majoritarian factions created

1:14.1

both the Bill of Rights and the judiciary specifically to impose limits on what majorities

1:19.8

can do, no matter how much support they muster for it. That's why we're not a pure democracy

1:24.2

but a republic. We'll delve into this vital but often looked an overlooked topic.

1:28.3

Then the current FBI director Cash Patel and his deputy Dan Bongino surprised many people,

1:34.3

especially their most ardent supporters, in a recent interview on Fox where they stated in the most matter of fact,

1:41.3

and I would say awkward way, that they are 100% certain that

1:45.6

Jeffrey Epstein did in fact commit suicide in prison, that nobody killed him. What made that

1:51.1

particularly odd is that both of them, those two individuals, Caj Patel and Dan Bungino, for years,

1:57.0

had been in the media on their show strongly suggesting exactly the opposite.

2:02.2

But okay, maybe they changed their minds after seeing the files.

2:04.7

That's possible.

2:05.7

But still the far bigger and still unanswered question about this entire Epstein matters remains oddly unanswered.

2:14.9

Namely, did Jeffrey Epstein work for or with any foreign intelligence agencies?

2:20.3

Why can't we know the answer to that? Given the administration promised full transparency on the

2:24.3

Epstein files? What's the excuse for the delay in just telling us that answer?
