Yes, Jesus promised to go and prepare a place for us, but he qualifies it like this: “no one comes to the Father except by Me.” Is that exclusive, or inclusive? Or both? No other religion on earth promises heaven to its adherents – and even in Christianity, it further teaches that it must be via a narrow way, and by way of the new birth. Everyone dies, we all have that in common. Life after death? Well, it depends on who you believe for that. What is an afterlife? What can we look forward to in heaven, scripturally speaking? Only Jesus can remove the sting of death with eternal life. How do we know it’s all true? Hint: The Resurrection. Such great news, such a mighty bright future.
